Natural Skin Shop Review

NaturalSkinShop.com

I recently had the opportunity to work with The Natural Skin Shop. When I was in Cossmetology school I received Peels regularly. They are not the most comfortable thing in the world due to the "burning" sensation, but the after affects were always completely worth it. If there is one thing I miss about school, it would be the peels for sure!

I chose the Salicylic Acid 20% Medium Peel Kit  for review

Included was:

• Neutralizer Solution 2oz (60ml)
• Peel Prep Solution 2oz (60ml)
• Salicylic 20% Medium Peel 2oz (60ml)
• 100% Hyaluronic Replenish Serum 1oz (30ml)

Here is some basic information from their site:

HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEELING AGENT

Salicylic Acid, a Beta-Hydroxy Acid, is a highly effective superficial peeling agent, oil reducer and pore cleanser. One of the most effective ingredients to combat the cause of facial oil, acne and blemishes, as well as providing an excellent rejuvenation addition and alternative to Glycolic.

Salicylic acid loosens and removes aging cells, oil and debris attached to the skin surface. Salicylic is oil-soluble and lipophilic so it penetrates sebum filled follicles and clean out clogged pores, resulting in marked improvement in acne prone skin. Stimulates new healthy skin cell production and increased collagen formation.

SALICYLIC 20% MEDIUM PEEL SUITED TOWARDS
• Mature skin with previous peel experience.
• Acne scars, sun damage and blemishes.
• Oily, acneic, and combination skin types.

NEUTRALIZER SOLUTION SPRAY
Returns skin to a normal healthy pH level after a peel.

PEEL PREP SOLUTION
Helps to remove the sebum mantle and lower the pH level of the skin thus allowing the peel to penetrate properly.

SALICYLIC 20% MEDIUM PEEL
To deeply exfoliate and peel to jumpstart skin rejuvenation.

100% HYALURONIC REPLENISH SERUM
Helps by promoting the healing process and hydration post-peel. Also a great daily moisturizer.

I have extremely oily, acne prone skin, and large pores, therefore I use it once a week. This peel works wonders in helping to minimize all of the above. For dry skin, once a week use is not recommended, at least not in the beginning. You truly need to let your skin get used to the product. I also highly recommend a skin "patch" test a few days before to ensure there is no negative reaction.

The retail value of this particular product is $72.00 but right now, it's on sale for only $52.00!

Overall Opinion: Love it!

I can handle the burn and the stinging if it helps to make my skin less oily and more smooth! Definitely a thumbs up for me!

**Please note that these peels are only for use by those who are experienced with using chemical peels. **

Kalorik Steam Mop Review and Giveaway Ends 1-26-13

I recently had the pleasure of working with  Kalorik  and do a review of their  Kalorik Steam Mop . This couldn't have came at a better time. I'm in the "New Year, New You" mode right now and there are lots of things I want to change. Harsh Chemical use is one of those things. The Kalorik Steam Mop works off of ordinary tap water! No detergents, soaps or chemicals needed! You can use the Kalorik Steam Mop to clean linoleum, ceramic tile, stone, marble, carpet, sealed hardwood, parquet and more! It's also very light weight and easy to use! I spoke with Kalorik via email on a Wednesday morning, and less than 48 hours my product arrived via FedEx! Two Thumbs Up! Upon arrival, it took all of 10 minutes to have it open, put together, and ready to use. It came with 2 small screws to attach the base to the actual cleaner, throw a microfiber pad on the base and we were ready to steam! I have hardwood flooring in my entire house so floor care is not something t...

Mabel's Labels Review

Signs of April receives free products for review purposes and may sometimes be compensated for posts. Posts may also contain affiliate (marketing) links. Thank you to  Mabel's Labels  for sending out their Name Label Gift Pack for us to review.  Labeling is pretty important this day in time. Especially when you have children in school.  Being organized and having everything labeled is very important in our home and even more important for her school items.  We were able to customize our labels, as you will as well. Emma, aka The Baby Child, LOVES any and everything Unicorn so that's what we went with.  Things are often very easily picked up and never returned because something wasn't labeled with a name. She's also very notorious for leaving things at school or on the bus, so these labels will be a game changer!  The Name Label Gift Pack comes with 25 labels which is more than enough to label her school items.  We labeled her lunchbox, ben...

Never Go Down Without A Fight: One Mom's Struggle to Fight CPS

Many people don't know a whole lot about my personal life. I normally keep things quiet and just post my reviews and go on about my day. I started this blog to do coupon match ups but quickly found that I liked doing reviews and hosting the amazing giveaways. It pretty much keeps my mind occupied from the struggles I face and have faced daily the past 4 years.  Four years ago (next month) I lost custody of my then 8 year old daughter. She had gone to her Dad's for a 2 week summer visit in July of 09. I let her go a few days early simply because we weren't doing anything big here at home, however I told them that she would probably be needing a visit to the the Dr by the next morning because she had just gotten into some poison ivy and it would probably be spread by the next morning, but if they were willing to take her, then she could come early. The two weeks came and went and I didn't hear much from anyone. They had taken a trip to Panama City Beach so I didn...
