Cold weather is upon us and what better way to spend a snowy winter day than curled up in front of the fireplace watching a good movie with the family. Well, thanks to Twin-Star International, one lucky reader is going to win a ClassicFlame Cannes Media Mantel in premium cherry finish (ARV $799) to keep them warm this winter!

About the Cannes Media Mantel:
Quality heating with a functional twist is what you get with this electric fireplace media console. This Cannes electric fireplace requires no venting or gas lines to distribute 4,600 BTUs of fan-forced heat evenly throughout an area of up to 400 square feet. Plug this fireplace into any standard 3-prong 120V outlet for an attractive centerpiece that operates with or without heat. The temperature is automatically controlled by the thermostat for maintaining consistent comfort. The digital temperature display fades out if untouched, keeping the solid glass front uninterrupted while showing off the realistic glowing ember bed and resin log set. The glass remains cool whether the heater is on or off, and the heater vent includes a child safety screen. Incandescent light enhances the flickering flame, and the 5 flame brightness settings can easily be adjusted with the control knob. The premium cherry media console includes integrated wire management to keep your cords organized, and a center shelf for additional storage space. The cabinet doors feature a frame and panel design that adds to the classic look of this Cannes fireplace and the traditional fluted edges compliment the sturdy box base with Scotia molding. Energy efficient, all LED technology offers low cost operation. Complete with a multi-function, 4 button remote, the 23MM378 fireplace is easily assembled to deliver fast, efficient heat where you need it. *Description from Amazon.com **Television and accessories are not included.

Kalorik Steam Mop Review and Giveaway Ends 1-26-13

I recently had the pleasure of working with  Kalorik  and do a review of their  Kalorik Steam Mop . This couldn't have came at a better time. I'm in the "New Year, New You" mode right now and there are lots of things I want to change. Harsh Chemical use is one of those things. The Kalorik Steam Mop works off of ordinary tap water! No detergents, soaps or chemicals needed! You can use the Kalorik Steam Mop to clean linoleum, ceramic tile, stone, marble, carpet, sealed hardwood, parquet and more! It's also very light weight and easy to use! I spoke with Kalorik via email on a Wednesday morning, and less than 48 hours my product arrived via FedEx! Two Thumbs Up! Upon arrival, it took all of 10 minutes to have it open, put together, and ready to use. It came with 2 small screws to attach the base to the actual cleaner, throw a microfiber pad on the base and we were ready to steam! I have hardwood flooring in my entire house so floor care is not something t...

Mabel's Labels Review

Signs of April receives free products for review purposes and may sometimes be compensated for posts. Posts may also contain affiliate (marketing) links. Thank you to  Mabel's Labels  for sending out their Name Label Gift Pack for us to review.  Labeling is pretty important this day in time. Especially when you have children in school.  Being organized and having everything labeled is very important in our home and even more important for her school items.  We were able to customize our labels, as you will as well. Emma, aka The Baby Child, LOVES any and everything Unicorn so that's what we went with.  Things are often very easily picked up and never returned because something wasn't labeled with a name. She's also very notorious for leaving things at school or on the bus, so these labels will be a game changer!  The Name Label Gift Pack comes with 25 labels which is more than enough to label her school items.  We labeled her lunchbox, ben...

Never Go Down Without A Fight: One Mom's Struggle to Fight CPS

Many people don't know a whole lot about my personal life. I normally keep things quiet and just post my reviews and go on about my day. I started this blog to do coupon match ups but quickly found that I liked doing reviews and hosting the amazing giveaways. It pretty much keeps my mind occupied from the struggles I face and have faced daily the past 4 years.  Four years ago (next month) I lost custody of my then 8 year old daughter. She had gone to her Dad's for a 2 week summer visit in July of 09. I let her go a few days early simply because we weren't doing anything big here at home, however I told them that she would probably be needing a visit to the the Dr by the next morning because she had just gotten into some poison ivy and it would probably be spread by the next morning, but if they were willing to take her, then she could come early. The two weeks came and went and I didn't hear much from anyone. They had taken a trip to Panama City Beach so I didn...
