Create your own recipe with Gro-ables

A few weeks back I wrote about a new product from Miracle-Gro called Gro-ables. They are a pre-packaged seed pod that makes it incredibly easy to grow your own herbs and veggies from seed. It’s designed for the younger consumer, or people who are new to gardening but have always wanted to try growing their own food. They are perfect for the beginning gardener or for someone who has very limited gardening space such as those living in an apartment.

Since posting the original post my pods have not sprouted yet but I am waiting patiently! I cannot wait to make more homemade salsa this year with my harvest! I have such a simple and easy recipe that is ready in less than 15 minutes.

Easy Homemade Salsa

3 cups peeled and chopped Tomatoes

3 Tsp Jalapeno

Pinch of Fresh Cilantro

Add all ingredients into a food processor until combined, chill and serve!

This is a huge hit in our home as all of my children love chips and fresh salsa as an after school snack and the best part is, I feel good about knowing that they are eating something we have grown at home.

Gro-ables makes it so easy to create your own foods. They have 17 different varieties of pods so the possibilities are endless. I have found most of the different varieties at my local Wal-Mart for only $1.25 a pod!
