Puritan's Pride Health Supplements Review

I received the following products in exchange for an honest review.

Puritan's Pride is an online marketplace offering hundreds of dietary supplements. Their mission is Healthy Choices for Healthy Living. For over forty years they have been offering the highest quality health supplements at the best value.

At the time of this review, they are having one of the best sales I've seen, Buy One, Get TWO FREE on Puritan Pride brand products!

International Harvest Organic Raw Mulberries

Certified Organic Mulberries Superfruit have a dried fig-like flavor and chewy crunch. Mulberries are an excellent snack with a similar texture to raspberries.

Mulberries are a great snack food! They are chewy and a little bit crunchy and really good!

International Harvest Organic Raw Goji Berries

Certified Organic Goji Berries are one of the most nutritionally-rich foods on the planet, packed with vitamins, minerals, protein, and antioxidants. Also known as a wolfberry, they are considered a complete source of protein and an incomparable amount of amino acids, vitamins, protein, iron, and other nutrients.
These Goji Berries taste a little like raisins. I was actually surprised that both my 8 year old and my 4 year old tried these AND liked them! It's very rare that my kids want something healthy, the fact that they like this superfood had me sold right away.

Puritan's Pride Acai 1000mg

Berries from exotic locales have often been known for their healthful properties, and Acai, a little gem from the rainforests of Brazil, is one of the most sought-after berries of all. And now, you can experience Acai in a convenient ready-to-take softgel! Our rapid-release liquid softgels ensure that the Acai is released quickly into your digestive system, so you can experience optimal benefits. Contains 1000 mg Acai per serving (two softgels).
Contains natural flavonoids and antioxidants
Supports overall well-being**
Helps enrich the vitality of your body and soul**

I (like many of you) first heard about the power of the Acai Berry on the Dr. Oz show. While this is not the natural form, its the closest that I can get being that I am not local to where they grow. Puritan's Pride sources directly from Brazil and utilizes Acai pulp and provides natural flavonoids and antioxidants.

Puritan's Pride Blueberry Extract 60mg

Go Wild for the Benefits of Blueberries!
Our Blueberry Leaf Extract is standardized to contain 16% chlorogenic acid. Chlorogenic acid possesses antioxidant properties that may help neutralize cell-damaging free radicals.** So go wild for blueberries, and discover the advantages of one of the world's most celebrated fruits.

Blueberries are great for your health but are not always available to everyone while they're fresh. If you can't get them fresh, or just want an extra boost of this great fruit, supplements are an excellent way to reap those benefits.

Cranberry Fruit Concentrate with Vitamins C and E 4200mg

This product has the benefits of concentrated cranberry without the unnecessary sugar and calories. Each of our concentrated (4200 mg) Cranberry softgels provide the equivalent of (8400 mg) of fresh cranberries plus (40 mg) of Vitamin C and 6 IU of Vitamin E. Adults can take two softgels 3 times daily, after meals.

Cranberries are great for you urinary tract health (among various other health benefits).

Puritan's Pride Black Raspberry 300mg

Freeze-dried
Vegetarian
Our freeze-dried Black Raspberry herbal supplement provides natural components of Black Raspberry in a rapid release capsule.** Puritan’s Pride Natural Whole Herb products utilize ground plant parts to provide the natural components found in nature, while the freeze-drying process maintains the naturally occurring nutrients of black raspberries. Vegetarian formula with no artificial color, flavor or sweetener. Includes 60 capsules.

I have to admit that I was unfamiliar with the health benefits of the Black Raspberry. I'm not sure why, since it is native to my area (and much of North America). After a little research I found they contain antioxidants and anthocyanins which may be anti-inflammatory and help protect blood vessels.

Overall I am very satisfied with all of the products that I received. I live in a rural area and don't get to town very often. After buying fresh produce we have to eat it rather quickly before it spoils and then wait to get more on the next trip to town. Using these supplements my family and I can always reap the benefits of fruits and vegetables.

As always, check with your doctor before beginning any new health regimen, especially if you are pregnant or nursing or have any other medical conditions.

Kalorik Steam Mop Review and Giveaway Ends 1-26-13

I recently had the pleasure of working with  Kalorik  and do a review of their  Kalorik Steam Mop . This couldn't have came at a better time. I'm in the "New Year, New You" mode right now and there are lots of things I want to change. Harsh Chemical use is one of those things. The Kalorik Steam Mop works off of ordinary tap water! No detergents, soaps or chemicals needed! You can use the Kalorik Steam Mop to clean linoleum, ceramic tile, stone, marble, carpet, sealed hardwood, parquet and more! It's also very light weight and easy to use! I spoke with Kalorik via email on a Wednesday morning, and less than 48 hours my product arrived via FedEx! Two Thumbs Up! Upon arrival, it took all of 10 minutes to have it open, put together, and ready to use. It came with 2 small screws to attach the base to the actual cleaner, throw a microfiber pad on the base and we were ready to steam! I have hardwood flooring in my entire house so floor care is not something t...

Mabel's Labels Review

Signs of April receives free products for review purposes and may sometimes be compensated for posts. Posts may also contain affiliate (marketing) links. Thank you to  Mabel's Labels  for sending out their Name Label Gift Pack for us to review.  Labeling is pretty important this day in time. Especially when you have children in school.  Being organized and having everything labeled is very important in our home and even more important for her school items.  We were able to customize our labels, as you will as well. Emma, aka The Baby Child, LOVES any and everything Unicorn so that's what we went with.  Things are often very easily picked up and never returned because something wasn't labeled with a name. She's also very notorious for leaving things at school or on the bus, so these labels will be a game changer!  The Name Label Gift Pack comes with 25 labels which is more than enough to label her school items.  We labeled her lunchbox, ben...

Never Go Down Without A Fight: One Mom's Struggle to Fight CPS

Many people don't know a whole lot about my personal life. I normally keep things quiet and just post my reviews and go on about my day. I started this blog to do coupon match ups but quickly found that I liked doing reviews and hosting the amazing giveaways. It pretty much keeps my mind occupied from the struggles I face and have faced daily the past 4 years.  Four years ago (next month) I lost custody of my then 8 year old daughter. She had gone to her Dad's for a 2 week summer visit in July of 09. I let her go a few days early simply because we weren't doing anything big here at home, however I told them that she would probably be needing a visit to the the Dr by the next morning because she had just gotten into some poison ivy and it would probably be spread by the next morning, but if they were willing to take her, then she could come early. The two weeks came and went and I didn't hear much from anyone. They had taken a trip to Panama City Beach so I didn...
