I'm really bad about not taking before pictures of my ingredients. Mostly because a lot of times, I really don't know what all I'll add. Today I laid out Pork Chops, but I knew I wouldn't feel like frying them, and I'm tired of baking them so I decided to throw them in the crock pot and season them up with some things that needed to be cooked before it went bad. Today it was apples and onion.
Here's what I used.
Measurements to me on these type of throw together meals is basically "to your taste".
Pork Chops
Liquid Butter
Apples
Onions
Cinnamon
Honey
I started by pouring a little liquid butter in the bottom of the crock pot. I then sliced up 2 apples, half of a large onion and then some cinnamon. I mixed it together well to coat everything and added my pork chops. I drizzled each chop with some local honey. I then took the remaining apples and onions and put on top of the chops. A little more butter, cinnamon and honey and turned the pot on low. 6 hours later, this is the end result! Serve with your choice of sides. I chose Mashed Potatoes, Black Eyed Peas and some leftover Mac and Cheese from the night before! Enjoy!
