Hammacher Schlemmer Internal Combustion Engine Kit Review

Thank You to Hammacher Schlemmer for providing me with their products free of charge in exchange for my honest review.

I received the Internal Combustion Engine Kit to base my review.

This kit is perfect for my 16 year old who takes Auto Mechanics. It enables young mechanics and auto enthusiasts to build and display a working 1/10 scale model of a four-cylinder internal combustion engine. He is one that loves to build! He enjoys puzzles and anything that keeps his hands occupied for long periods of time. It definitely makes them focus and pay close attention to detail which I think is crucial during this stage of his life.

The kit has over 100 ABS plastic parts that fit seamlessly together using the included tools. The definitive auto repair reference since 1965, a Haynes Manual guides construction with complete, step-by-step instructions and vivid, clearly printed diagrams.

A transparent cylinder block enables young mechanics to see how the connected parts work in concert to power a vehicle. Lubricated with small applications of vegetable oil, the engine operates using a small battery-powered electric motor (requires two AA batteries) which makes an ignition sound while firing the spark plugs; the valve sequence cycles, the pistons move, the shaft rotates, and the timing belt moves with the radiator fan belt. Each cylinder illuminates during the detonation cycle.

Overall we are extremely pleased with this product from Hammacher.com. They have SO many products to choose from on their website that you are sure to find something for everyone on your gift giving list!

Buy It! You can purchase this kit directly from their site for $49.95! This will make the perfect gift for the young teen or auto enthusiast in your life.

Kalorik Steam Mop Review and Giveaway Ends 1-26-13

I recently had the pleasure of working with  Kalorik  and do a review of their  Kalorik Steam Mop . This couldn't have came at a better time. I'm in the "New Year, New You" mode right now and there are lots of things I want to change. Harsh Chemical use is one of those things. The Kalorik Steam Mop works off of ordinary tap water! No detergents, soaps or chemicals needed! You can use the Kalorik Steam Mop to clean linoleum, ceramic tile, stone, marble, carpet, sealed hardwood, parquet and more! It's also very light weight and easy to use! I spoke with Kalorik via email on a Wednesday morning, and less than 48 hours my product arrived via FedEx! Two Thumbs Up! Upon arrival, it took all of 10 minutes to have it open, put together, and ready to use. It came with 2 small screws to attach the base to the actual cleaner, throw a microfiber pad on the base and we were ready to steam! I have hardwood flooring in my entire house so floor care is not something t...

Mabel's Labels Review

Signs of April receives free products for review purposes and may sometimes be compensated for posts. Posts may also contain affiliate (marketing) links. Thank you to  Mabel's Labels  for sending out their Name Label Gift Pack for us to review.  Labeling is pretty important this day in time. Especially when you have children in school.  Being organized and having everything labeled is very important in our home and even more important for her school items.  We were able to customize our labels, as you will as well. Emma, aka The Baby Child, LOVES any and everything Unicorn so that's what we went with.  Things are often very easily picked up and never returned because something wasn't labeled with a name. She's also very notorious for leaving things at school or on the bus, so these labels will be a game changer!  The Name Label Gift Pack comes with 25 labels which is more than enough to label her school items.  We labeled her lunchbox, ben...
