#VZWLife Hopeline... How YOU can help!

Disclosure: I am a member of the Verizon Wireless#VZWLife team and received a device as part of this program. I am a (long time) Verizon customer and all opinions are my own.

Did you know that nearly one in four women, one in seven men and more than 3 million children in the United States affected by domestic violence? Domestic Violence doesn't discriminate. It affects young, old, rich, poor, white, black. At one point in our lives, most of us have either been directly affected (victim) or know someone who has. Whether it be mental, verbal or physical, it's still abuse. One of the first things an abuser takes is the victims cell phone. That is his/her best weapon. Without a phone, the victim can't keep in contact with family and friends. Once they lose communication with the outside world they lose hope. Verizon Wireless came up with HopeLine in 2001. They are committed to helping those affected by domestic violence through this program.

How It Works:

You simply donate your old, unused phone from any carrier, at a Verizon Wireless Communications Store, through a HopeLine phone drive or through the mail, with a postage-paid label.

The HopeLine Program:

Collects and securely scrubs the donated phones

• Refurbishes and sells reusable phones

• Responsibly recycles unusable phones

• Donates proceeds to domestic violence
organizations

Refurbished phones get equipped with 3,000 anytime minutes and text messaging and are distributed to domestic violence organizations nationwide.

Domestic Violence Survivors

Receive refurbished HopeLine phones

Get free calls and texting on the Verizon
Wireless network

Benefit from HopeLine phone donations and
cash grants to local HopeLine-affiliated domestic
violence agencies

So if you have any old and unused phones laying around, please donate them to HopeLine! It's a very important way you can help!

Kalorik Steam Mop Review and Giveaway Ends 1-26-13

I recently had the pleasure of working with  Kalorik  and do a review of their  Kalorik Steam Mop . This couldn't have came at a better time. I'm in the "New Year, New You" mode right now and there are lots of things I want to change. Harsh Chemical use is one of those things. The Kalorik Steam Mop works off of ordinary tap water! No detergents, soaps or chemicals needed! You can use the Kalorik Steam Mop to clean linoleum, ceramic tile, stone, marble, carpet, sealed hardwood, parquet and more! It's also very light weight and easy to use! I spoke with Kalorik via email on a Wednesday morning, and less than 48 hours my product arrived via FedEx! Two Thumbs Up! Upon arrival, it took all of 10 minutes to have it open, put together, and ready to use. It came with 2 small screws to attach the base to the actual cleaner, throw a microfiber pad on the base and we were ready to steam! I have hardwood flooring in my entire house so floor care is not something t...

Mabel's Labels Review

Signs of April receives free products for review purposes and may sometimes be compensated for posts. Posts may also contain affiliate (marketing) links. Thank you to  Mabel's Labels  for sending out their Name Label Gift Pack for us to review.  Labeling is pretty important this day in time. Especially when you have children in school.  Being organized and having everything labeled is very important in our home and even more important for her school items.  We were able to customize our labels, as you will as well. Emma, aka The Baby Child, LOVES any and everything Unicorn so that's what we went with.  Things are often very easily picked up and never returned because something wasn't labeled with a name. She's also very notorious for leaving things at school or on the bus, so these labels will be a game changer!  The Name Label Gift Pack comes with 25 labels which is more than enough to label her school items.  We labeled her lunchbox, ben...
