abcmouse

This post was written by my blogger friend over at BabyCostcutters.com but, I am happy to bring this giveaway to all of my readers also! Read what she has to say about ABCMouse.com and enter to win a years subscription!

All summer I have been looking for sites online to help continue my child's education. As a former teacher I understand how much children forget over the summer. Honestly, it is not that they forget but it is just like any other part of your body....if you do not use it, you lose it AND it is even harder to get it back! So, the only way to keep the mind in shape is to use it all the time.

It is just like when your body gets out of shape it is so hard to get back into shape. Yet, if you are always in shape then exercising is easy for you! So, I want to make sure my kid's minds stay in shape!

ABCMouse.com has an interactive fun way to help you kids learn. Whether they are just starting to learn, need extra help at home, or need practice in the summer this program makes it fun! With three different ways to learn plus allowing guided and independent activities every child has a way to learn.
ABC Mouse learning ways
ABCMouse.com is a safe, engaging, and exciting method for children to use technology for educational development. It gives the parents control over what your child is learning plus, gives you reports on how your child is progressing! That is a major bonus for me! It allows three different ways for your child to learn. You can even set up lessons for them if you like. With over 3000 learning activities you are sure to find lessons. I like to know how they are progressing and maybe that also could help to guide me to do a few other activities with him on those subject.
I have searched for several different websites and apps for him to work on but, they all seem to have advertisements or pop-up. Since ABCMouse is subscription based there are no advertisements or pop-ups saying to buy the next upgrade. Nothing, bothers me more than my child in the middle of a lesson and it stops and says, "To continue this lesson purchase...." Err!

You can upload an image of yourself as the parent aviator. Then, design an animation for your child! You can personalize the character's face features and clothes. Each account is allowed up to three children. That way if you have more than one child they do not have to "play" all under the same name. This way you can see their individual progress.
You can find ABCMouse.com on Facebook and Twitter!

Kalorik Steam Mop Review and Giveaway Ends 1-26-13

I recently had the pleasure of working with  Kalorik  and do a review of their  Kalorik Steam Mop . This couldn't have came at a better time. I'm in the "New Year, New You" mode right now and there are lots of things I want to change. Harsh Chemical use is one of those things. The Kalorik Steam Mop works off of ordinary tap water! No detergents, soaps or chemicals needed! You can use the Kalorik Steam Mop to clean linoleum, ceramic tile, stone, marble, carpet, sealed hardwood, parquet and more! It's also very light weight and easy to use! I spoke with Kalorik via email on a Wednesday morning, and less than 48 hours my product arrived via FedEx! Two Thumbs Up! Upon arrival, it took all of 10 minutes to have it open, put together, and ready to use. It came with 2 small screws to attach the base to the actual cleaner, throw a microfiber pad on the base and we were ready to steam! I have hardwood flooring in my entire house so floor care is not something t...

Mabel's Labels Review

Signs of April receives free products for review purposes and may sometimes be compensated for posts. Posts may also contain affiliate (marketing) links. Thank you to  Mabel's Labels  for sending out their Name Label Gift Pack for us to review.  Labeling is pretty important this day in time. Especially when you have children in school.  Being organized and having everything labeled is very important in our home and even more important for her school items.  We were able to customize our labels, as you will as well. Emma, aka The Baby Child, LOVES any and everything Unicorn so that's what we went with.  Things are often very easily picked up and never returned because something wasn't labeled with a name. She's also very notorious for leaving things at school or on the bus, so these labels will be a game changer!  The Name Label Gift Pack comes with 25 labels which is more than enough to label her school items.  We labeled her lunchbox, ben...

Never Go Down Without A Fight: One Mom's Struggle to Fight CPS

Many people don't know a whole lot about my personal life. I normally keep things quiet and just post my reviews and go on about my day. I started this blog to do coupon match ups but quickly found that I liked doing reviews and hosting the amazing giveaways. It pretty much keeps my mind occupied from the struggles I face and have faced daily the past 4 years.  Four years ago (next month) I lost custody of my then 8 year old daughter. She had gone to her Dad's for a 2 week summer visit in July of 09. I let her go a few days early simply because we weren't doing anything big here at home, however I told them that she would probably be needing a visit to the the Dr by the next morning because she had just gotten into some poison ivy and it would probably be spread by the next morning, but if they were willing to take her, then she could come early. The two weeks came and went and I didn't hear much from anyone. They had taken a trip to Panama City Beach so I didn...
